Christmas Plans ....

My families Christmas plans this year are pretty busy. Tomorrow evening (which is Christmas Eve), we are going to my Grandma's @ 4pm. The family that is going to be there is Katina, Chip, Jessie, Kaila, Hailey, Mom, Amador, Aunt Joy, Uncle, Grandma, Mariah, and Chris. We have been going to my grandma's since I was little. She has made this a tradition for our family. For the past few years my Aunt Joy has taken over with the cooking and organizing the time. She is a really trooper. She wants it to be nice for everyone. This year though she is trying not to waste food. Instead of having Turkey, ham, deviled eggs, green beans, and potatoes, she is making lasagna for the adults and the children are going to have pizza. I think that the kids will love that!! :) I think that her great niece's and great nephew will give her an A+!! :) I think the only people that will have an issue with it is my uncle and Ronnie. Ronnie is allergic to cheese. He will probably go to Arby's or something. Then after everyone eats at my grandma's we open up presents. Aunt Joy usually takes the children to see the Christmas lights. This year she has talked everyone into going to Christmas Eve mass. I am not Catholic, but I am going to make her happy. Then we will go home and get everything ready for Santa to come to our house. This is when the kids get really excited.

Christmas day we wake up usually early. Chase is always the first one to get up. We usually have to drag Kami out of the bed. LOL! She loves her sleep!! (What can I say she is like her mother LOL!!) They open up their presents and I make them pancakes for breakfast. Then everyone gets ready and we head to Ronnie's parents house in Chesterfield around 11am. We open up presents there. Ronnie's mom has each child come at a certain time because Ronnie is one of 7 children. It gets really crazy there at times. There are 7 children, 4 wives, and 10 grandchildren. We usually stay there until about 3pm and then head to my mom's in Charles City where we eat Christmas dinner around 5pm and then open up more presents. Katina and her family come too. We have fun. We sit around and drink coffee and talk. I think this year we are going to be playing darts. It should be fun. :) We usually end up spending the night and heading home in the morning. I am not sure if we are going to spend the night this year because Ronnie has to work the day after Christmas.

OMG!!! I just received a call from my mom. Her barn caught on fire this morning. She is missing one side of her barn. They have a wood stove in the barn/dart room and that is what caused it. She said that Amador is fixing it now so the guys can play darts on Christmas. :)

Well, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Drive safe to where ever you have to go!! :)

Weekend Update ....

We were on the go this weekend .....

Saturday, we went with my sister Katina, her husband Chip, and my niece's Jessie, Kaila, and Hailey to see Santa Claus at Short Pump Mall. Then we followed my sister to Beaverdam to Betsy's annual Christmas party. It was nice seeing people that I haven't seen in a year. The kids had a ball seeing all their friends. My sister ended up keeping Taylor, Chase, and Kami. She also kept one of Jessie's friends Morgan too. So my sister ended up having 7 children all night. She is an amazing person!! :) So, with the children at my sister's all night. Ronnie and I did a little bit more Christmas shopping. We really couldn't do much, but we got a little more done. The sad thing is that we aren't even half way through and Christmas is only 3 days away. We really only have 2 shopping days left!!

Sunday, I had to pick the children up from Katina's by 1:00 because my niece's had to go bake cookie's for Girl Scouts @ 2pm. It takes me a hour to get to Katina's house from mine, so I got back home around 3:00. When we get home, as we were walking inside the house Taylor tripped over some work boots that were sitting outside and busted her leg all up. We were planning on going to church Sunday evening to watch Heather and Kevin in the play, but Taylor's stomach was upset. She said every time she ate something, she would have to go to the bathroom. Yesterday just wasn't Taylor's day! :) My poor Tay Tay!! :) I know that she is having a good day today because she was able to spend the whole day with her best friend Taylor Minter!

Well until next time .... :)

Another Day ...

Last night, Ronnie comes home from work a little earlier than usual and takes everyone out to dinner. I do have to say that was a really nice treat. We haven't been out to eat in a really long time. Everyone had a real nice time. My son Chase was so polite last night with the waitress. He kept telling her, 'Merry Christmas' and using his manners. All 3 of my children are awesome. I couldn't ask for better children.

As I was eatting dinner last night, I decided that starting 1/5/09, I am going on a diet. As of June 09 I would love to lose 60 pounds. That would put me in the 140 range. My friend Heather is dieting and she is doing an awesome job, she is really going to be my inspiration that I can do this for myself. I just hate the way I look. My husband says that I look fine and that I don't need to lose weight. He is very sweet, but I need to face it head on. The major problem for me is going to be stop drinking my Pepsi. I don't drink anything else. I am going to give it a try and keep everyone updated on my progress.

Well, I need to get off of here and get some work done!

Until next time!!! :)

MY VERY FIRST BLOG

This is my very first blog. I am not really sure what to write about, but I will give it a try. The past two weeks have been a little crazy for me. My daughter Kami was sick with strep throat and a bad ear infection in her left ear. Then my oldest daughter Taylor was sick with a virus. I was called by the school nurse for about two weeks straight. Let me just say that the school nurse and I are on a first name basis. LOL! As of today EVERY one is doing a lot better. Knock on wood! :)

Ronnie and I have been having issues with money. My husband lost his job a few months ago and he started work again in September and we are pretty much robbing Peter to pay Paul. So last night Ronnie and I have decided to move out of Cumberland. It is a really sad choice, but it takes me 1 hour and 10 minutes to get to work one way each day and it takes Ronnie 1 hour to get to work. I have to fill my truck up every other day with gas. They gets expensive. I really don't want to leave Cumberland, but I really think that this is going to be the only way for us to make it. I have made some really good friends in Cumberland. I know the person that I am going to miss the most is Heather. I feel like GOD put her in my life for a major reason. When I had hard times, Heather is the one who gave me the inspirtation to go on to get through it. My children and her children are best friends. But I know that our families will stay in touch.GOD will never fail us!!
